Music Support Group Calendar Launch and Welcome
A huge thank you to all those families and students who attended the Music Support Group Calendar Launch and Welcome last Thursday. It was a valuable opportunity to stay connected and there was a great sense of anticipation for the performance seasons ahead.
The evening started with an inspiring presentation from Mr Ben Hooper and Ms Rosemary Oxenford to introduce the Vienna Music Tour for 2025. If you would like to express interest in the upcoming international tour for strings and choral, please contact the music department for more information.
The tour information for Mt Gambier, Generations in Jazz, was also shared with a visually appealing display of Churchie’s last visit to Mt Gambier in 2019. For more information on the upcoming tour of Generations in Jazz, please contact Mr Bohdan Davison.
Mrs Belinda Fleming (Music Support Group President) and Mr Brett Allen (Music Support Group Treasurer) both spoke about the many wonderful ways in which the MSG supports the music students and how people can assist.
Finally, the presentation ended with a video edited by Tom Crooke (Year 12) to launch the exciting music performance season of 2024, after which students, staff and parents shared refreshments outside The Centenary Library as they discussed the exciting opportunities and performances to come. Please take the time to view the 2024 Music Season Launch Video below:
